Confirmation

In the 8th grade, students join the Confirmation Class, where they are invited to explore their relationship with God and faith more deeply through a retreat and a series of class discussions using the book Words for the Journey by Martin Copenhaver and Anthony Robinson. This year we will also be offering a Parent Confirmation class. This class will serve as a "refresher" course for parents, as well as a time where they can hear what their child is learning and ask questions.  The Confirmation class culminates with each student writing a Statement of Faith reflecting on his or her journey over the past year.  Following completion of the class, Confirmands are invited to join AHCC as full members of the congregation.

Our Confirmation class will kick-off in October, beginning with a dinner at AHCC and then a retreat at the Incarnation Center on Friday and Saturday, October 21-22. Registration is ongoing, so please e-mail Christina or Erica if you would like more information.
