A little about Gail, in her own words. The love of working with numbers and solving problems has brought me through 40+ years in the finance industry. Starting with Society for Savings, Bank of Boston, Fleet, The Community’s Bank and finally with Windsor Savings. Every position change was the result of a merger or acquisition, until I resigned to accept a position at Open Solutions, a financial data processing company.
I am a native of Hartford where I attended elementary and high school. After starting my career, I completed a Liberal Arts degree and then a Master’s Degree in Education. My love of teaching and developing a better way to complete a task led me to a policies and procedures focus where I earned the reputation, “Give it to Gail, she’ll fix it.”
The last 8 years, my career took a different turn as I worked in a daycare and cared for children aged 3 months to 4 years. JOY is the only way I can describe my transition. My days included walks to the park, skinned knees and “That’s my toy,” as I labored to provide the same love, nurture, and support the children would receive at home.
A member of Faith Congregational Church, where I serve on the Deacon Board and hold the position of church treasurer, I am completing a two-year term as the co-chair of the church’s 200th Anniversary committee. I am currently a resident of Wethersfield, where my husband Arnold “Lee” and I have a blended family of three adult children, two grand-daughters and a pending adoption.
