Spirit Hill Childrens' Prayers

The following are prayers written by the children during their time in worship.  The children use their offering envelopes for prayers instead of, or in addition to, their offering of money.

I hope no one has to suffer the way the people did in the tsunami.

 

Dear Lord, Please let all of the fathers in the world have a fantastic day with their families and they are celebrated for the whole entire day.

 

This prayer is for people with autism. And I hope that scientists can find a cure.  So one kid can be able to do the same thing as another.

 

Dear Lord, I hope that my friend will get better soon and that she will read and write.

 

Pray for Casey, Kitty, Carlos, Jet, and all the other Horses at Folly Farms and the Equestrian Center. Tell them I miss them and tell Casey I forgive her---it wasn’t her fault and the bruise is gone.

My friends, Scott, and Peter, and I served dinner to 91 men at a shelter in Hartford. We cooked the dinner with my grandmother. The men appreciated our being there and the dinner. I felt good with the experience, because I realized how blessed I am. The men have only what’s on their backs or in a small storage locker. My grandmother said that you can’t share what you do not have so being able to do what we did means that we do have a lot. It was a great Thanksgiving insight. Joseph

Dear God, Please have all the homeless people stay safe.

Even if you make a mistake god will always love you.

I’m praying for my friend Pia. She was in a horrible car accident, right now she’s in the hostpital. Don’t let her die! Please help me pray for Pia!!

Dear God, Thank you that C. had a great operation. She is feeling great and wild again. She is driving C nuts like always. Thanks. Amen

Dear whoever opens this envelope, I hope you have a great life and that you feel great about yourself.

I pray for the soldiers of Iraq and for the United States of America. I hope they don’t get hurt.

I’m thankful for having a loving family, friends and God.

Dear God, I hope my sister gets better and doesn’t get even more sick.

My family is making dinner for 90 men at the Immaculate Conception shelter on November 23.  I spent most of Saturday making and freezing lasagna sauce, packaging cookies, rolling flatwear into napkins, counting plates and cups and arranging fruit in jello cups into a crate.  I will be helping again to assemble the lasagna and serve the meal. What Is Love by anymonous:  Love is the smell that fills the air when you bake brownies with mom.  Love is the salt water that sprays your face when you go fishing with dad.  Love is the smile you have when you spend quality time with your sister.  Love is the happiness that you share with your friends when you make snow angels.  Love is the stick you throw to your dog when you play fetch.  And when you put all of those things together, you get a huge HEART.

Don’t you think the world would be a better place if everybody got along?  I would. And you can help make that difference.  Paulina

Dear God, Thank you for all of the gifts you gave us. Please help everyone in this hurricane season. Thank you for my family and friends.

Dear Father, Where asking YOU to help the Hurricane Victims survive and have a home, Amen.

Dear Lord, I hope all the victims of Hurricane Katrina will be ok. Thank you for all the food and shelter and clothing that you provide for us. Please watch over us and keep us healthy and secsesful the days of our lives. Amen

I am going to pray for the dogs.

Dear God, I’m sorry this happened. I don’t like God’s people being destroyed by the hurricane. It makes my heartbroken. I wish for it to never happen again. And from the American Revolution, I wish everyone’s freedom.

I pray that the water from hurricane catrena goes away

I pray that all the people whose homes have been destroyed by Rita or Katrina have moved on and have good homes to live in

Dear God, Forgive us for our attitudes that keep us from learning and from respecting Your Creation and the people that you have put into our lives to teach and care for us. Help us to love others the way you love us and to learn the lessons that will make us better people.

I hope that the kids of Huricane Katrina will not be hurt. And we will try to make a little bit of money so they can have homes agin. And we will give that money to the RED CROSS. We love each other.

I pray that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. (Canadians, too!)

Dear God I pray that every one is safe amen.

I pray for people that are homles have home to go to.

I pray for God, my family, Tuffy cat, Machu and Pichu, our hamsters, our food, our house, the beautiful church all my friends all the wounded all in danger, and all our hopes and dreams and for no more troubles!

Dear Lord, Help thoughs who are less fortunate then us. Give them food, money and parents.
